Terms of Service

Draft — to be reviewed by Ontario counsel before launch.

1. Our service

GroupChop lists and manages its own products and travel inventory, accepts customer requests and target offers, and provides itemized quotes. Orders from our marketplace follow the specifications, quantities, dates, charges and fulfillment terms shown at confirmation. A stock reservation does not mean payment, ticket issuance or delivery has been completed.

1a. Charges

Browsing the catalog and submitting requests are free. Unit prices, quantities, shipping or delivery charges, taxes and totals for our products or travel services are listed in the itemized quote before acceptance. Payments are currently disabled: requests, quote acceptance and stock reservations do not charge you. The deposit and charging procedures below apply only if the relevant payment features are enabled in the future.

2. Deposits and refunds

If group-buy payments are enabled in the future, joining requires a deposit, usually 15% of the entry-tier group price. If the minimum quantity is not reached by the deadline, the deposit is refunded in full to the original payment method. You may leave during collection, before the group is formed, for a full refund; once negotiation starts, contact support to cancel. This process is not currently available.

3. Group formation and payment

If group-buy payments are enabled in the future, the lowest price tier reached by quantities with paid deposits is locked at the deadline. The balance and taxes stated in the quote are charged to the card used to join. Failed charges must be paid within 48 hours or the place is released. This charging process is not currently available.

4. Price comparisons

The “market low” shown is a regular retail price we collected from the stated source on the stated date. It is for comparison only and does not represent a commitment by any third party.

5. Brand preferences

You may choose whether to accept comparable products from other brands. GroupChop uses this preference to assess alternatives without publishing your identity. An alternative-brand order is placed only after you confirm again in the new group.

6. Custom products

Requests for products not yet available become group purchases only after the minimum order quantity is reached and sampling is completed. Specifications, prices and delivery times are then published, and you decide whether to join. Deposits apply only if the relevant payment features are enabled in the future.

7. Returns and exchanges

Unopened items may be returned within 14 days of pickup. Contact GroupChop about quality issues with orders from our own marketplace. See the help page for details.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law, including the online-transaction provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
