What we collect
We collect your email for sign-in, the phone number and display name you provide, pickup preferences, group participation, brand preferences, submitted prices and screenshots, and requests, offers, quotes and fulfillment records for our own marketplace. Payments are currently disabled. If Stripe payments are enabled in the future, Stripe processes payment and we do not store card numbers. We also save your product, local service and custom request details, total budget and currency, delivery or service country and city, and optional photos. Photos can contain embedded metadata; remove private metadata before uploading.
How we use it
GroupChop uses this information to handle its own order requests, quotes, stock reservations and fulfillment, manage customer requests, send progress notifications and prevent fraud. Refund information is used to refund existing payments; new payment collection is not currently available.
Who can see it
Your own-marketplace orders and private offers are visible only to you and GroupChop operations to handle the order. When pickup is used, pickup coordinators see only pickup codes and quantities. We do not sell personal information. New product, local service and custom requests and their photos are visible only to you and authorized GroupChop operations and administrator staff. They are not shown in public search or activity feeds and are not accessible to ordinary supplier accounts.
Your rights
You may view, correct or request deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent to marketing emails, at any time. Contact help@groupchop.com.
Device keys
Device keys are used only to read your own group-buy progress. We store only their hashes. You can remove them at any time from your account page.
Language selection and cookies
On a first visit without a saved choice, we use the country indicated by your IP address to suggest a supported official language. For countries with multiple supported official languages, browser language preferences help choose; English is the fallback. The IP-to-country lookup runs locally. We do not send your IP to an external location service or separately store IP geolocation records. A manual choice takes priority and is stored in a cookie for one year; choosing Automatic clears that choice. Your selected browsing country and city, separate service country and city, and currency are saved in this browser's location-preference cookie for 180 days. We do not request GPS location; you enter cities manually. Country and city submitted with a request become part of its saved record and are not deleted when this preference cookie expires.
Interface language changes do not automatically translate product, merchant or customer content; that content remains as originally supplied.
